I am a Visual Art and Design artist and also teach various art courses every autumn and winter both on my island and on the mainland. I love walking out in the nature enjoying the feel of fresh and clean air playing around me and lifting my spirit up high. How fortunate we are on this beautiful islands of ours..

Student´s exhibition in Einarsstofa 2013
The people above are helping me to hang the art work which took longer than I anticipated, mainly because we had to glue the small drawings and watercolors on a black carton paper to be able to fit it on the wall.
I had three separate courses in 2013, one watercolor. another drawing and then oil. I had quite a few young people which is always great to have as they are so imaginative and they are unbelievably creative. Thank you all!

Creative Drawing
Here is my group hard at work, concentrating on the project at hand.
We did all sorts of fun things like contour drawing and blind drawing our hands and faces amongst many other creative drawings.
It is a wonderful giving feeling having such a creative group of people.
This project below is called "Squaring Up"
I copied the picture below then cut it up in squares which each student got to draw, I then glued all the drawn pieces on a board and copied it so each student received a copy as a memorandum.
As you may notice, the bottom piece was not completed but it could not be helped.

Drawing for 10-14 years
Hello again!
It has been a while since I have written anything on my Art School Blog, the reason being I was out of energy last autumn to do any teaching but now I am up and about again and starting a five day course on Friday in drawing for young children 10-14 years. I am going to have this course more of a creative drawing in hope my students won't become bored and it will only be two hours per day so it should keep their attention and interest going.
There are now ten applicants (all girls!) which means a full class for me. Next short course will be for adults as I promised last year. I feel good being on the go again!
Well, now that the drawing course is finished I thought I might add some real photos to my blog.

This was a wonderful time teaching the kids, they were so willing and enthusiastic and did so well!
I got them to do all sorts of drawing in those five days like; line, blind, drawing a still life and shading, measured drawing etc. They really enjoyed all of it, even the self portrait which was a bit hard for them, I admit but they did it. I had taken a photo of each and gave them a black and white copy to work from. I was really amazed of their capability for such young age.
Here come some photos to enjoy.

Students exhibition at Akoges 2012
We had the opening today at 2pm with great success.
There was a lot of praise and positive comments regarding all their work today. We showed oil, watercolors, drawings, charcoal and pen so there was a good variety of art covering all the walls. Some works got sold to the pleasure of the artists and myself. There is still another day to go, so maybe there will be some more movements of paintings.
One of our friend played lovely tunes on his saxophone at the opening.
Here is most of our group gathered together.
